How did I know that cheese would be involved when describing your personal heaven? And everyone would be your friend? Aww. Like Cheers.
There is definitely restaurant infidelity. My husband and I went though it when we worked right next to this awesome little pizza place. They actually got mad. Like really mad when we skipped a few days. We stopped going all together because we were scared they were going to start spitting in our food for cheating on them. You can't have the same thing everyday. Why don't they realize this?
Mother H: Yes, everyone in heaven would know my name ;-)
Restaurant Infidelity never made me think of the retributional spitting in food. That's a scary thought.
Aw, it was so cool being able to hear the Mini Yous.
I, too, did not know that you could cheat on an eating establishment, but I can see how it would be awkward. Imagine if you went in smelling of the "other woman's" cooking!
Just love that "tiki god in the corner"...
hahahaha.
BTW, my lil snot dog growls lowly when he hears you...but don't worry I think it's a friendly growl ;-)
Peace
Odat
Thanks for responding. This was most exciting.
If the restaurant's food is bland and overpriced those are two good reasons not to patronize the place.
I imitate Lily Tomlin from "Laugh-In." But unfortunately for you that was before your time.
Candace: I love the idea of the other woman's cooking being a clue!!
Odat: Yeah, I loves me the Tiki. I hope Lil Snot dog isn't growling at me, but that he's growling with me. After all, I feel like I know the little guy.
Patti: You'd be surprised at the cultural references I know. I have seen Lilly Tomlin on Laugh In, but nice attempt trying to get out of doing an imitation ;-)
I love how you said it's "absolutely unacceptable"!! Too funny!
And your kids are adorable!
"Go do something fun" --> recipe for disaster ... I don't think I could ever use this line on my students!
I love when it's "cover" season ... when temps drop just enough to get cozy.
You're all about shortening words eh? OG ... WB ...
I need to send you some music recommendations ... we need to get you to step slightly away from the Barry Manilow and Rod Stewart. :P
Airam: Yeah, I caught the twins pulling nails outta my tool box pretending to hammer them into the tool box. No more doing fun things during my podcasts!
I knew I should not have shared my recent music purchases. I just knew it ;-)
I really, really thought one of the songs you were going to choose for your answer to my question was going to be "Convoy"...i don't know why. Maybe because I'm abnormally obsessed with that song and think other people should like that song, too and it's only natural for you to choose it for your song to be played at your funeral.
Aaaaaand I have no idea why I just wrote all that. Great podcast!
ARM
Oh...btw...it didn't feel like 10 minutes...........
twss
ARM
Anon/Arm: Well hello there stranger! Convoy is SUCH a great song!!!!!!! Damn, I'm singing it now!!
THAT was a great TWSS, btw!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My TWSS moments have been few and far between lately.
You know what else would be a good song for a funeral (why am I so morbid? Holy hell...)? It's another Jerry Reed song..."When You're Hot, You're Hot". I think I'm going to add that to my list.
ARM
Arm: 'judge, judge, I'm gonna take you out back and give you a little you're under oath...' Yes, that's a classic!!!
So is Jerry's Amos Moses. I could send you so many great mix cds I have made. You might be the only one that would enjoy them.
:D
ARM: I also hope all is well ;-)
Holy Hell...I flippin' love Amos Moses. Who am I kidding? I love Jerry Reed...he's a maniac.
You have damn good taste in music, yo! Me likey! Many people think it's pretty odd that a 28 year old woman even knows these types of songs. It is so rare that people younger than my parents know what the hell I'm talking about - it makes me happy!
Also, all is as well as it can be. Thank you!!
ARM
I made a GREAT Jerry Reed cd a few years ago. It's one that always stays in the truck! People always thought that my musical tastes were odd given that I listened to mostly stuff so much older than me. It is odd indeed, but very cool!
Hang in there!!!!
